The contribution reflects on the dramaturgy of time as an agent of creating spaces of relation, wonder and tuning in with environmental worlds. It derives from the research for the project “The Loud Silent World”, on which the authors are collaborating. The dramaturgy of time is thought through in the context of the ecological choreography sound walk designed for the shared listening of the youngest and their significant adults. The contribution is structured as an experiential immersion into soundscapes of the outside world, as a game of listening in and tuning with its compositions to reflect on how to create spaces for new attentiveness to life. We will ask how the compositional formants that are based on the ways of being and perceiving of the youngest, can build dramaturgies through extended temporalities and non-linear experiences of time and open relational spaces for intangible experiences of environmental (non)linguistic, polyphonic narratives.
Saška Rakef is a playwright and director, employed at Radio Slovenia, explorer of sound invoked experience. Important parts of her oeuvre are projects that are created at the intersection of radio and theatre art, as well as those that are based on the research and translation of radiophonic principles and/or principles of musical composition into directing and dramaturgical procedures and writing procedures for theatre and radio.
Pia Brezavšček is a cultural worker, editor-in-chief of the performing arts journal Maska, publicist, reviewer, theatrologist and dramaturge. She studied art history and philosophy and is a PhD candidate in Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ljubljana.
