FESTIVAL PROGRAMME LECTURE RECORDING

The H2O Interface exhibition, curated by Darko Fritz, features artists Leah Barclay, Karla Brunet, Nigel Helyer, Toni Meštrović, Dijana Protić, Robertina Šebjanič, Sofia Crespo, and Feileacan McCormick. It explores the role of water in the Anthropocene, highlighting its connections to both human and non-human entities. Inspired by Bruno Latour’s Parliament of Things, the exhibition challenges traditional boundaries between natural and social phenomena. Latour’s concept encourages a rethinking of human and non-human actors as part of larger, hybrid networks. In this context, water is seen as an active participant in these interconnected systems. The exhibition emphasises sound ecologies as a crucial medium connecting all elements of the Anthropocene. Sound art is used to amplify the relationships between living organisms, water, and objects, highlighting the complex interconnections that shape our environment. Through this multidisciplinary approach, the project expands discourse on water, presenting it as a dynamic force within interconnected ecosystems.
