The Steklenik gallery’s programme focuses primarily on sound, bioacoustics and art and addresses works that connect artistic and scientific practices through sound research of nature and the environment and explore the fields of bioacoustics, sound ecology and sound art.

The founder of the Steklenik Gallery is the CONA institute, a non-governmental organisation that works in the public interest in the field of culture. Their main activities are (post)production and promotion of intermedia and sound art in connection with nature, environment and sound.
